Is U.S. clinical experience required for International Medical Graduates?
Applicants must complete the required PGY-1 clinical training before entering our program at the PGY-2 level. All entering residents must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited residency program with at least 10 months of direct patient care during the PGY-1 year.
Medical students applying directly to our PGY-2 program must simultaneously apply for a transitional or preliminary year residency program to fulfill this requirement.
